Oils For All The Mommas Staying Home And Staying Safe!

April 1, 2020

For all those mommas working from home, teaching their children, and trying to be a good momma while social distancing, this blog is for you!

Who knew 2020 would call on us to do it all while the world completely shuts down around us. The work-life balance has always been a struggle and now we've added teaching our children, parenting WHILE working, and the looming potential of running out of toilet paper at any moment. It seems impossible most days at my house.

Since I always turn to my essential oil collection anytime my physical, mental, or emotional health is out of kilter, I decided this was the perfect time to get serious about using oils to keep my sanity!

Enjoy this collection of my favorite ways to use essential oils during this incredible and uncertain time.

Smoothies
I love making smoothies for breakfast and trust me, they taste even better with high-quality food grade essential oils in them. Since I typically make fruit smoothies or green smoothies, adding in 2-3 drops of lemon, orange, or lime essential oils makes for the perfect combination. The taste is amazing and the benefits are truly endless. Lemon and lime assist with digestion and orange is a natural anti-inflammatory, just to name a few.

Liquid Xanax
This IS my ultimate favorite and I write about it whenever I get the chance! Hello Apothecary's Liquid Xanax roller blend is a very important part of my daily routine right now. With so much expectation and pressure to get it all done, I rely on this oil to provide a natural way to take away any anxiety I may be feeling. There are no side effects and the combination of oils supports my mental and emotional well being.

Get Stuff Done
Since we are tasked with doing it all right now, I have also been using my diffuser daily to support my motivation and energy level. I love adding three drops each of orange, lemon, and peppermint to my diffuser in my home office. It provides me the boost I need to just keep going when my to-do list continues to pile up.  The more efficient and productive I can be with work will allow me to get back to my family time!

Lavender, Lavender, Lavender!
I can't say this enough! Lavender is the ultimate oil for relaxation and the list of ways to use it is truly endless. Mix 3/4 cup of water and several drops of lavender in a glass spray bottle to spray throughout your home and on your pillow before bed. Lavender is calming and tells your brain it's time to unwind.  Check out Ameo Essential Oils to find clinical grade oils made from pure botanicals.

There you have it, the oils to keep you healthy physically, mentally and emotionally, to keep you motivated, and to help you unwind at the end of a long day. This incredibly uncertain time has given all of us new challenges that we need to overcome. Hang in there mommas, we will get through this!
